The Girls

As the girls walk by
Attracting glaces, stares
Whistles from old men
I sit and watch

As the girls
(who used to be the girls)
Walk by
Attract no glaces, no stares

But I watch them anyway
Moving slowly along
Taking in life
Knowing the importance of time
For theirs is the age of wisdom
